Happy holidays from Casa Tyr

Last Christmas was a rather difficult time for the residents of Casa Tyr, but this Christmas it’s a different story.

Someone in my family was very ill last year, but now seems to have made a great recovery. So that little ray of sunshine is shining through my window.

Last year for the first time in many years, we were just 2 of us for the Big Day. That hadn’t been expected, so calling it a bit of an adjustment was putting it mildly. This year, we are still just the 2 of us, but that was expected, and planned for, so an entirely different kettle of fish.

Last year, it started raining about this time, and continued to rain for a couple of weeks. Now I know we can’t help the weather, but somehow the bright sunny weather of this year’s Christmas makes everyone feel more positive.

So it feels like it’s going to be a good Christmas. Despite all the financial woes of the world, and its many troubles, it’s a time of year for looking on the bright side of life, with hope in our hearts.

So I think I’ll do just that.

Enjoy the holidays!

    • Thank you so much for the post! Yes, it’s been a good holiday season, I’m sure yours was too with that new little boy to help you celebrate! Our NYE is usually spent with our Spanish friends at a family dinner – very nice!
