One nice thing about all the rain we had over the winter is that the herbs are all in wonderful condition!
I was out weeding this morning (again) – weeding our small garden near the house. We have fenced in part of it, which contains the onions, garlic, spinach and butternut squash.
Outside the fence, we have many of our cultivated herbs. Lavender, chamomile, borage. Also many cacti, including 3 aloe plants. I love herbs, and plant several new ones each year. (We also have many wild herbs on the land, such as thyme, lavender, rosemary, and others – but I like some close, too, so that I can sit on the terrace and gaze at my gorgeous herbs!!)
So anyway – I was weeding. And weeding. And weeding. A weekly task for each and every garden! But in-between, I took a few photos. They’re not as good as the ones husband Kenton takes, of course, but then I’m no expert, and only have a little camera – it’s great, though, because I can just stick it in my pocket or handbag, so I’m ready if a photo op comes my way!
Here are some pictures I took this morning.
