A highland fling

our wee adventure on the Black Isle

A totally Lujos day

Slowly but surely, we’re gearing up. The products are finalised, the website is almost done.

Today? I started a Lujos group on Facebook, created a Twitter account for Lujos. Joined a soapmaker’s forum. Made 2 kinds of face cream (mostly for daughter Peg, as she has run out). Made some Double Orange & Chamomile soap, which so far is proving to be a real hit with absolutely everyone. (it’s my current favourite)

After lunch? Kenton and I created the studio shots for the product images. This takes much longer than one might think, but really makes a difference on the website. Then we had to clean up all the props – lavender heads, olive oil, carrot oil, almonds, rose buds, and so on. The office was covered with Lujos stuff!

After that, clean up the soap-making detritus, then make butternut squash risotto for dinner. Think I’ll treat myself to a glass of wine now!

  1. We are all waiting anxiously for the Lujos debut! Be sure to let us know when the web site is up.

    Who knew carrots contained oil?

    • Will do! Just took the last of the product photos yesterday, so will be able to do a test launch soon.

Yeah, almost everything can have oil pressed out of it, I guess!
