A highland fling

our wee adventure on the Black Isle

OMG it’s October!

OK, yes. I know we are actually 3 days into October, but I’m only now getting around to noticing!

We’ve been a bit preoccupied lately because our youngest dog Fitz pulled or tore a muscle during vendimia, and has been in pretty sad shape ever since. He has not been interested in any exercise, or able to walk very much, and so the whole household has been pretty subdued and out of sorts! He seems to be improving now. Poco a poco, as the locals say.

We have made our list of October chores, and it is frighteningly long! We have so much to do, such as cut/fetch firewood, sort out the chimney, stain the outside beams and totem pole, plant winter garden, make tons of soap, finish Lujos site, finish PL Promotions work. Add to that, 2 fiestas, Kenton’s exhibition, our anniversary and my birthday – and did I forget to mention tax returns are due by the end of the month!?

I may just go back to bed.
