Spring cleaning in August

OK, OK, you have me there. It’s not really spring, is it? But here we are, just now finishing off our spring cleaning.

It’s not that we’ve been lazy, quite the contrary. We did much of our painting and spring cleaning in May, just before nephew Michael came for a visit. Since then, we have been pretty chokka with other work – somehow the expanded veg garden has more than doubled our work.

Not to mention tree cutting, logging of wood, a trip to the US, Lujo soap and lotion making, entertaining, and so on! It’s been a busy year.

Hence the good excuse for just now finishing up our spring cleaning and painting. All surfaces are cleaned, polished and washed or painted. And now we’re done. What a relief! If only it would stay in this pristine condition…
