A highland fling

our wee adventure on the Black Isle

Several steps too far, maybe!

Normally, summer is our slow time. When the weather heats up, we cool down…by the pool, reading, relaxing, whatever. Take a few trips. Spring clean the house.

But there has been precious little relaxation this summer! Our normal slow-down months of July and August have been full of … work! Argh!

We were wondering over the weekend why this is so. We always have gardening and preserving to do in the summer, but what is so different now that makes the days so long and hard?

We thought about it. Perhaps it could be the huge extra garden that we have filled with veggies? Or maybe the photography venture of Kenton’s? And perhaps add to that working on the new Lujos website, and making of soap and other products? And how about all that painting we’ve been doing? All of a sudden, we realised that we had added 4 huge tasks to our summer – just one of those would have been enough to keep us much busier, but four?
