…the prodigal returns

Back where we came from, reluctant returnees.

One down, one to go

We finished the work in the bedroom yesterday – well, almost anyway!

The wardrobes are up and our clothes moved into them. All the clothes fit, and we rationalised our clothing so that all the older/untrendy/doesn’t fit stuff is now in black bags to take to the clothing recycling bin in Coin. It always amuses me to think of someone in a far away country wearing my old Arsenal sweatshirt!

The chests of drawers are also in place, and our old, tatty chest of drawers is being recycled in Kenton’s workshop. The bookshelves are up, too, and soon will be full of our favourite books.

Half the room is painted in a lovely blue – what I refer to as “Greek blue”, because it reminds me of the brilliant blue used in Greek homes. We will finish the painting next week.

Dogs are almost adjusted to sleeping in their new dog bed location, behind the terrace door. For now, the wall behind their bed is clean and painted, but I doubt that will last long!

Today, off to Marbella for a trip to the dentist and a bit of light retail therapy. It will be a nice change, as my sore back and  strained groin muscle are crying out for a rest. He hasn’t said, but I think Kenton is a bit on the sore side, too!

Tomorrow? Back on the IKEA trail, sorting out the office/second bedroom. Supposed to be 37 C (98.6 F) tomorrow, which should add to the fun!
