…the prodigal returns

Back where we came from, reluctant returnees.

If it’s 68 degrees, it must be February!

I had to write this entry just to irritate my family in the US!

Today, after several weeks of cold/wind/rain etc, we finally finally finally have a glorious sunny, warm day! It is the kind of day that makes me forget all about being cold all day, even in the house! (You see, the houses here are built to keep out the summer heat, so are terribly difficult to keep warm in the winter. No insulation, no double-glazing on the windows or doors.)

Anyway, as I was saying. A day like this makes me think that I could live here forever! Well, at least for another winter! Sunny skies, no wind, not a cloud in the sky. 20 degrees C, 68 F.

Take that, midwestern Larsons!

  1. A glorious Sierra de Las Nieves winter day and, according to the forecast, another two weeks of it should follow !

  3. Hm, yes, you have a point. But it’s not that often I get a chance to be that smug in the winter, especially this one! I’ve been having a serious case of central heating envy all winter!
