…the prodigal returns

Back where we came from, reluctant returnees.

Run and jump with the boxers

Too many rainy days in a row upset us all. All four of us in the house (Kenton, me, our 2 boxers Fitz and Milo) go stir crazy if confined too long! We spend so much of our time outdoors that if we are prevented from doing so for any length of time, all 4 of us get cranky!

This week has been like that. Monday was rainy so we took the dogs for a walk. Yesterday was on and off rain, so we cut firewood for a couple of hours. Not enough exercise for 2 young boxers or 2 not-so-young humans!

Today we will try again. Down to the forest to strip one of our cut pine trees of branches. We need to cut 50 trees as a firebreak by the end of April, and once Kenton cuts them down, we strip them of the small branches and burn the trimmings. Has to be done by end April, as our fire license only runs til then.

So, a hard day of work for us, and ‘run and jump’ for the boxers – we will all be tired tonight!
