PO saves change for 2 years

Was at the local post office this morning, sending off an ebay purchase. I ran into an English guy who has a house here that he no longer lives in, and is trying to sell. (that’s another subject altogether – NOTHING is selling right now!)

I did a bit of interpretation for him – apparently he left some money at the PO 2 years ago, so that they could forward on his post. The lady behind the counter told me yes, they had done so, but nothing new had come for him, did he want his change?

3 euros and change. Where else could you rely on a civil servant to look after you so well?
